Google's Project Ara Scrapped
Google's ambitious Project Ara, the modular phone concept wherein various parts of the smartphone can be easily replaced, has been entirely scrapped now.
Motorola launched Project Ara back in 2013, and when Google acquired Motorola, Ara seems to be a very promising project back then. Though after a few years of delays and plan changes, Google reportedly decided to scrap the project altogether as a part of streamlining the company's scattered hardware efforts.
The project isn't entirely dead, hopefully, as sources say there is still a chance that Google will license Ara to a partner.
