     Xiaomi has released a new flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro. Is this going to be the new flagship killer?

     XIaomi's Redmi line-up has been the affordable line the company offers for its customers. However, the Pro begs to differ. It features a 5.5 inch 1080p Full HD OLED display that features a 100% NTSC color scheme with a 60000:1 contrast ratio, covered with a 2.5D glass. It ha a dual camera set up at the rear side, one being 13 MP, the other, a 5 MP, which utilizes a Sony IMX 258 module for better depth-of-field in the shots, reduced blur and faster focusing capabilities. It also has a 5 MP front camera for selfies.



     Storage and memory-wise, this smartphone packs 3 different configurations. One has a 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage. Another one has a 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The best memory/storage combo we can get from Xiaomi is the 4 GB RAM with 128 GB storage. All configurations are still expandable via microSD card.



     The base 3GB/ 32GB model sells at RMB 1499 ( Php 10,614 direct conversion). The 3GB/ 64GB model sells at RMB 1699 (Php 12,030 DC) and the 4 GB/ 128 GB model sells at RMB 1999 (Php 14,154 DC). Let's hope that Xiaomi Philippines will be able to bring these babies as soon as possible.
