Instagram introduced a new way to share daily moments, called Instagram Stories. It's a new feature that lets users share moments of their day in a slideshow format, that will disappear after 24 hours.
Instagram Stories will defy "overposting" as once the 24 hour timeframe is reached, these "stories" will disappear and will not appear on a user's profile grid, even in feed.
The stories from people a user follows will appear in a bar at the top of a users feed, giving the user easy access to view available stories. When a new story is published, the profile photo of the user being followed will have a colorful ring around it.
Instagram Stories will be rolling out globally on iOS and Android in the next few weeks.
